WHAT WE DO:
These are one hour sessions.
We are there to tell the residents about how we managed to stop drinking and to tell them about Alcoholics Anonymous.
We are not there to tell the residents that they are alcoholics or that they need to stop drinking, those are their decisions to make.
We are there to tell the residents how we got sober and if they would like to stop drinking, perhaps AA can show them how.
We talk about What AA is, What AA does and What AA doesn’t do.
A brief overview of AA history, the book of Alcoholics Anonymous, the 12 Steps and a Higher Power are given.
We share a little of our story and take questions.
THIS IS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR TWELFTH STEP WORK FOR ALL MEMBERS.
